The Stone Roses Singles Collection

The Stone Roses 1984-1996

In 1989 The Stone Roses released their self titled EP. The critic's loved them and the kids loved them. Along with bands like the Happy Mondays, and Inspiral Carpets, The Stone Roses were in my mind the quarterbacks of the Early 90's "Madchester Scene". Blending popular techno dance rhythms of the day with a funky psycodelic blues guitar of the 60's-70's, complimented melodic bass and fronted with vocals that had a sense of swagger. They were the early 90's of the British music scene.

The music still stands up today. Below is a link to their singles collection. The B-sides show the strength and depth of their music...

First Post

Hello Everyone,

This is going to be a lot of fun. I have decided to start this blog as a way of connecting you to music that I think needs to be heard. I have called the Blog "Crowded Airways" because so much good music does not get disseminated to the general public through our Crowded Airways.

For those of you who know me, know that I am very passionate about music. Whether it is listening to, or playing music. I feel that this is something that I should share with others. Today, so much of what we hear on commercial radio is repetitive and let's face it boring. This will allow me to connect you with music that I hope you will like.

More on all this later... Now for the music... Not too sure how all this works so hold tight ! !

Here is my first a link to an album that everyone should own... Listen to it here and buy it at a store. Support the artist ! !
