
The Stone Roses 1984-1996
In 1989 The Stone Roses released their self titled EP. The critic's loved them and the kids loved them. Along with bands like the Happy Mondays, and Inspiral Carpets, The Stone Roses were in my mind the quarterbacks of the Early 90's "Madchester Scene". Blending popular techno dance rhythms of the day with a funky psycodelic blues guitar of the 60's-70's, complimented melodic bass and fronted with vocals that had a sense of swagger. They were the early 90's of the British music scene.
The music still stands up today. Below is a link to their singles collection. The B-sides show the strength and depth of their music...
